Welcome to Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home

Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home begins its story with brothers George and William Winter, sons of a British mortician.   Following World War I, William came to Canada and opened a funeral home in Castor.  George followed him in 1919, and established his funeral home in Munson.  In 1926 the brothers joined forces and opened their funeral home, Winter’s Funeral Home, in Drumheller.

Over the years, Winter’s went through different owners and a couple of name changes to become the funeral home it is today.  Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home is proud to serve the communities of Drumheller and Hanna.

Our staff are local, long time residents and greet each family with compassion, understanding and empathy.  The trust a family places in us to celebrate their loved one’s life, is a source of much honour to us here at Courtney-Winter’s.  We are committed to ensuring that the needs of the families we serve are met with compassion and integrity.
